So grateful to the crew at Coastbeat magazine that took the time to interview us thoroughly and write a feature article on our travelling life as a family and full time professional photographers.
Yvette Harper from the magazine contacted us initially about using one of our underwater Seal images for their front cover of the winter edition. As we got talking about our last 3 years on the road it developed into a feature story within the magazine as well!!
The relatively new publication is one of the freshest and most positive magazines going around and even better its totally free!!! The quality of articles and photography are easily worth a $15 cover charge, but if you are anywhere on the north coast of NSW between Forster in the south to Byron in the north you will be able to find your copy.
If you can’t find a copy, a online version can be viewed right here.

I used shutter speed priority mode to ensure I got no movement from the little fella. They are so slow on land but in the water they are lighting quick!!
It was a mostly overcast day, but for a brief moment some beautiful light shafts penetrated the surface to add that extra something.
Camera settings: 1/640 sec at 5.6 ISO 640 flash sync set at high speed.
I had two days shooting with these epics creatures, definitely one of my favourite wildlife encounters so far.
